Quick Post

I realized I haven't posted in a while and due to the constant inquiries from a certain someone I've decided to do a quick post. The 1st piece is a preview of a painting I'm currently working on..I'll post the finish soon. The 2nd is a portrait of a friend I recently entered in a show. Sorry for the lack of updates and I will post more soon I promise!

Vacation

Wooooow..it's been a little while since I've posted..sorry, I've been a little busy, but working nonetheless. So, me and two of my close friends will be taking a trip to London next week for a little business and to sight see..should be a lot of fun. I wanted to post a few things I've been working on before we head out over there. The top is a portrait of a friend of mine and the second is my ongoing piece of the KING..R.I.P. Drizzy!

Portrait of an up and coming music artist Drake. His mixtapes are the only thing that have been on my playlist for a while now. Definitely going to be one of the best in the hip hop/r&b game very soon. I even found myself watching some episodes of Degrassi (teen drama show on the N) which he starred in a while back..terrible I know. If you haven't heard his stuff download his latest mixtape: So Far Gone. You won't be disappointed. That's all for now. ROo!

New Work

This is an illustration I did based on Jamie Foxx's new album: Intuition. His music is going in a new direction, straying a bit from his traditional means of making music with just piano and vocals.

This is an illustration done for the latest issue of Virginia Living Magazine.

Did this while taking a break just listening to Ye's latest album 808's and Heartbreak.

Society, Salon International, and more..

I was very excited to learn that one of my pieces made it into the 2009 Society of Illustrators Student Competition. This piece was a collaborative effort with a close friends/roommate and artist. It was also accepted into CMYK # 43 which will be coming out in March. This is quite an amazing and humbling experience. Congratulations to all other artist accepted especially the students of VCU!

I was also ecstatic to find out two of my other paintings were accepted into the Salon International 2009 Exhibition of the Greenhouse Gallery of Fine Art. They will be displayed in the gallery in San Antonio, TX within the next few months.
